Default Cleaning the intake plenum

Hey guys and girls,

I have a 94 GT. The air intake plenum has caked on dirt and crap inside. I havent taken it off yet. First, I need to know what the best way is to clean it. If it is too much trouble and results can't be optimal, I'll just wait until I can get a new one.

Thanks!!

Carb cleaner would be a good place to start. Then while you have it off you could smooth the as cast finish and pick up a little flow.

Is there just one gasket between it and the manifold?
