Can you tell me what i can do to my stock 01 mustang gt to go done the track faster without spending money , should i remove seats , is there a way to get more horse power, i really need some help to beat my friends car

Trim the air silencer to about 4 inches in the rear and 6 inches in the front with an angle that leaves the top longer than the bottom.You want the opening to be at least as big as the opening in the throttle body.This way you still draw cooler air from the fenderwell.you can also remove the screen from in front of the MAF.remove the rubber gasket from around the screen and replace it when you replace the MAF or you will have an unfitered air leak.This won't give any seat of the pants gains but should be worth about 5 or 6 HP.
