[puts flame suit on]i already searched and found nothing. i am posting a questions for my mother. She has recently purchased a 97 mustang with the 3.8 V6 auto. i know that is NOT the GT model, however "SRS" is scribed in the dash, steering wheel and tailgate. Tonight she went to her first "Pierce Country Mustang Owners" meeting and someone questioned what SRS ment. she had no idea and neither did anyone else at the group. i thought that the SRS was the basic model, while the GT is the high performance model. Correct me if i am wrong. the other unique feature (by unique, i haven’t seen it on any other mustang on the road) of this car is it has gold trim along the bottom of the door saying MUSTANG. Can any of you guys tell me what SRS stands for? please dont flame too hard, i am not a mustang guy.

sorry to change the topic but since uve already answered his question i wanted to ask u2 cobra guys a question....

the hood in my display pic-a cobra hood right? was it once a stock cobra hood or was it a custom hood never put on as stock? i think its like cobra oem style hood w/e that means but yeah i figured one of u guys would know...

 

yea my GT says SRS too... right on the passenger airbag.

 

sure dude. the hood in ur avatar is the 96-98 Cobra Hood, the 94/95 Cobras (like our two) had the same hood as the V6/GT Mustangs...
