Default clutch cable

Is possible that the heat from a header could cause the clutch cable to stretch making it almost in possible to get into gears?

not stretch, but cause the plastic to bind on the cable for sure...especially if you have long tubes.

stock headers..highly doubtful.

it's not disengaging all the way.

do you feel it bind in the cable at all? i would replace it quick. it could toast your clutch, since when your shifting...it's slipping.

is it an adj. cable? look under the dash and see if the quadrant is plastic or aluminum. or if you already know for sure.

if it's the stock plastic, get an adjustable too. you can also get a length of "fyr-sleeve" to go over the cable itself, will help protect the cable a little better...will still burn through though eventually.

EDIT***************if it is adjustable...try adjusting it first. (not sure if you have, or pull up on the clutch pedal hard...if it's stock)
