The tint can be scraped off with a razor blade n glass cleaner to help clean but as a lube to help with scratches no? When i did my windows they were tinted before but he got a ticket n the residue was still on there I just sprayed alot of glass cleaner on it and razor bladed it and it came off as kind of like a sticky residue. Does the defrost **** interfere with this?

Well if you took the glue off your rear window with a razor blade your defroster doesn't exist anymore LOL

why you gotta make it a personal attack on him?

edit: cause his screen name... yeah... nevermind.

crystal, you should tell the dealership to take it off or get it done by a tint place. I'm sure they have a good way to remove it with a heat gun and something to dissolve the glue. and good luck with that antenna, it sounds like a PITA.

Are you not supposed to? I don't know anything about tinting products so bear with my questions. One would think that by looking at the window and seeing all those lines that it had rear defrost and the owner would use it. What were they thinking?

Crystal, you'll be able to get the name/address of the previous owner off of the paperwork and/or title. Definitely have a tint place look at it before you take a razor blade to it. If it's all distorted, I wonder if the owner may have done it him/herself.

if the tint was put on right the rear defrost won't hurt it i my last car had tint on it i ran three winters with it and never had a single buble. but if you use a razor blad to scrap the glue it will destroy your defrost. i think the person that had my stang did that so my defroster is usless.[:@]

exactly! The tint may not have been put on properly or is of cheap quality. Does it have a purple tint to it? Cheap gray/grey, however you want to spell it, always degrades to purple if it's not of good quality (happens in seat covers too)
