Tinted Windows and Car Phone Antenna

Tinted Windows and Car Phone Antenna
I am the process of purchasing my first car and it has tinted windows. Looking out the rear window gives you a distorted look at everything. Is this normal? Not only that, the film is starting to peel off around the edges on the driver's window.
How difficult is it to remove it yourself? Should I take it to a professional and let them do it because they could do it faster than I could.
It also has an antenna on the rear window for a car phone. I am not really thrilled about having it and would like to remove it. Any ideas how to do it without ruining the glass that has the defrost option on it?

Don't remove it yourself. Once the film totally separates from the glue, they will have to scrap it all off including your rear window defroster. Take it to a shop that does window tinting and ask them about it. Depending on how bad it is, you may still lose the defroster.

the antenna will pop right off there Crystal but the tint is a nightmare []
Just trim off the pieces that are peeling with an exacto knife so they dont get worse and live with it.
When taking off the antenna, just try not to crack the glass LOL.

well Like Mike said the antana is no biggie
as far as tint i have taken it off the rear with out damaging the defroster but be prepared to stay in your car the bigest part of the day. you will first have to peel the film off thats usualy no big dea som times if your real lucky it will come off in one sheet. the second part thats the fun part lot and lots and lots of windex and paper towels.just keep it soaked down and keep working it. or take the easy way and go to a shop they usualy have the cemicals to get it off.
