Default auto to manual

say u had an automatic 2005 mustang and you wanted to change it to a 5 spd... can it be done? and is it a hassle?

What would be your reason for doing such a thing if you dont mind me asking? Do you play around town or at the track? If it's about just wanting to slam gears then so be it. But if its cause you think standards are faster thats not exactly the case. For around town its great cause you can throw it into any rpm at any speed. For the track the auto is faster. Of course...stock this isnt the case. Investigate into some 4.10 gears and a 2800 stall torque converter and then decide if this still isnt enough for you-Shane
