if the 555r's you're talking about are the drag radials, the word around is that they last longer than other dr's, but they suck at traction.
I have the regular (street radial) nittos on my car and they last for a long time and have a little smoother ride than the stock goodyears. rain is not too bad.

315/35 for the rear. possibly a 275/40 series for the front.

315/35 is a good choice. Thats what im getting when I get my 10.5" rims. Itll look awesome. For the front, im gonna stay with the 245/45`s

don't take this the wrong way man, but you might be making the same mistake 80% of everyone does, and getting big tires up front, when you def. don't need to

i understand taht a fat tire up front looks neat, but it detracts from the ultimate goal of HUGE tires in back, well, maybe not huge, but very beefy

as for the tires in back, i KNOW you can get Nitto DR's in 315/35/17, maybe 335, but dont hold me to that

as for up front, if you want to save some money, creat less rolling resistence, and look more unique while at the saem time making the rear's look larger, you should go with a 225 or 235 on teh stock 17x8 size, or go smaller, if you can

just some options, good luck

Id stay away from the regular nitto 555s, i heard after 1 year their performance is gone. Mine dryrotted right off the wheel after about 2.5 years old. My friend got brand new ones and his Stock Mustang GT had horrible understeer with them, I suggest another tire up front.

And nitto drag radials do not suck with traction... if u lower the psi a lil and heat them up they hook like a sob. But they are amazing for a street tire that lasts as long as they do.

I had very good experience with my BFG Drag radials... they hooked up much better than my friends Nitto DR's, but BFG don't last as long... I would definately get drag radials for the rear
