Default Shocks/Struts question...

I have a set of Eibach Sportline springs on my 98 Cobra right now and my car is pretty rough. I am not looking to do much more drag racing or Auto-X or anything like that in the near future. I just want my ride to be better. What shocks/struts will be the best just to smooth out my ride?

I have heard very good things about the Bilstein Heavy Duty Shocks/Struts, but I don't know if they are good for racing or good on the ride... I have also heard good things about the TOKICO shocks/struts. I am not needing them for race, so is the adjustable really necessary?

Bottom line.... I JUST WANT MY CAR TO RIDE BETTER!!!!!!!!! I will spend the money I need to for it to ride close to stock and look the way it is now! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

struts won't help the ride that much if at all most of the time they make the ride worse. if i where you i would look in to gettting a diffent set of springs that had a lighter spring rate.

The HD Bilstein shocks/struts have a very hard compression and quick rebound.

If you want a smooth ride with high rate springs you need shocks/struts with a soft compression and a slow rebound.

wow for once codyss is making sence.

basicaly the shocks and struts only alow the springs to compress at a certian rate of speed. so you best bet is just stay with your worn out struts or get new springs for rid. get a set of drag springs that will lower your car they will giver you the nice ride you want.

When I lowered my stang,(Eibach pro-kit), I installed some Tokico illuminas. They have 5 adjustable settings, so it rides as soft or as firm as you want it. They cost about $450 a set on ebay
