It might be if they are in good shape< but I do NOT think it is a good idea. Think about it for minute, cheaping out now on somthing realitivly cheap could cause a lobe to be wiped out on the cam, and possibly cause more damage.
Even if they have fairly low mileage used lifters of any kind have wear patterns permanently ground into them.If you try to match them with a new cam both parts will quickly fail.Even changing lifters from hole to hole in the same engine will have the same result.
i wouldnt go to a junk yard to get rollor lifters but i have seen people reuse them in cars many times with absolutly no problems.
is this with a new cam?
yeah i know a guy that has had at least three diffent cams with the same rollor lifters. now a normal flat tappet reuse is a big no no. but you can get buy with it on a rollor but i still wouldn't go out to a junk yard and get them. ya never know a lifter problem could be the reason the car is in the junk yard.
i wouldnt roller lifters are not that expensive. and if you dont have the money i think it would be woth the wait to get new ones in case you would mess something up then you could be out big money.
