Default HELP: putting a chevy 327 into mustang

I am considering purchasing a 1988-1993 Mustang into which I want to put a 327 and two speed powerglide that I pulled from my 1969 Chevrolet Impala. I am wondering how feasible this idea actually is. I know that there will be some fabrication required (i.e., motormounts, etc...) that is okay as I work in a machine shop. My main concern is to how this set-up will mesh with the front suspension and k member. Can I make it fit or would I have to get a custom built front clip? If anyone else has done this or something similar I would appreciate any help or insight that you can offer.
Thanks for any and all help with this dilemma,
Sam

It should be OK with the K memeber, as you said you need to fab motor mounts, trans cross member and a few other things. Headers might a problem, but I bet there are companys that make a header for this swap. One question, why the Powerglide? Are you planning on making it an all out drag car?

327 is a ***** motor. a 427 twin turbo would be nice. powerglide is useless unless your going FAST and your not gonna get there with a 327. A better home for that engine would be a later year impala with the v6's. Or ebay. or a trash receptacle. blah.

why do people love to do things that go against the grain 100%?

chevy in a ford? [sm=badidea.gif]

might as well have blacks in the KKK or fish out of water or the giants cheering on the dodgers..... [sm=dontgetit.gif]

get yourself a nice camaro chevelle impala etc...and put it in there....or just sell the engine and use that money to buy a proper mustang engine....

or buy a mustang with an engine in it.....? [sm=happybounce.gif]

This is one swap that makes NO sense to me.
You'll need to make a very interesting oil pan and you may as well figure on making the headers too. (real PITA).
Powerglide? Don't use it unless you got a 2500# car, and you won't either.

Why not find an early 70's Vega or Nova and work with that?
