Yesterday i was driving down the road at a normal speed and a normal RPM and my car started acting like it was out of gas. the car the car like stalled out while i was driving and all the lights dimmed and then it came back on and then it did it again. it did this 3 times. it was like there wasnt any power going to the car. so i pulled off the road and turned the car off. i let it sit for like 20 seconds and then cranked it back up and everything was fine after that. well... today while i was driving...i was doing 60 mph and i had the rpms steady at 2 grand. and the tach was jumping from 2 grand to 3 grand...bouncing all over the place. do you think this is something that might have cause my incident yesterday? plz help. i dont want to be stranded somewhere if this is going to turn into a problem.

 

does anyone know what this might be? any help plz...

 

i placed a call to a buddy who is a mechanic, waiting to hear back from him now! but its christmas. a surging issue is beyond me, esp. with the 2 to 3 grand jump while in gear.

 

o2 or MAF sensor? If it is dirty, it won't be able to properly adjust fuel flow and make the cpu "confused". thats just my guess.

 

The ECM could be losing it's mind also.I had this happen once with a stock computer and once with an add on superchip.About the same symptoms.
