351 Winsor
Hey guys im new around here. So first of all wats up to all. I had a 95 Mustang 5.0 but i left it in mexico when i moved up here again. So currently i drive a Honda del Sol (i know probably going to get flamed) thats my toy right now. But i have a guy thats going to give me 55hundread for it. I want to buy a mustang with that. Eventually i want to but a 351 Winsor in there. so my question is what model and year would be the easiest for this upgrade. I want it newer than 94. Im not a professional mechanic but i did do a engine swap in my current car so i think im up to the challenge. so wat do you say guys can yall give me info. Best years. Sorry for the long post Thanks

RE: 351 Winsor
79-95
in 96 ford swaped to the 4.6l if you get a 4.6 car there is alot more work involved in the engine swap you best bet if you want a newer styled car is a 94-94 but the fox body cars are nice and easy swaps too. btw on a injected car you will need a lower intake headers and accessory brackets to do a 5.0 to 351 swap.

RE: 351 Winsor
first off, its easiest to swap it into an 87-93. 94-95 models are harder because there is much less space in the engine compartment.
now on the convertable thing- verts arent only heavier, but the are also much weaker in their structure. if you plan on taking it to the track you will need to put a cage in it. make sure to put that in ur budget. also, take it to the 351 section under "special stangs". look through previous posts to find some info
