well i did a search and cant find anything on it. does anyone know or know of a site that has the gears that came in the 8.8 for different years and auto over 5 speed. im going to the wreckers on sat and need to know. 35 bucks for the rear end. cant say no. I believe the 8.8 came out in 86. is that for 4 and 6 cylinders also and auto and 5 speed?

yes '86 and up v8 car is a 8.8
if the car still has the driver door....the ratio is on the tag.
under "ax" will be an m,z, or e
get an "e" if you can, they are 3.27's and only came on aod's
m=2.73 and z=3.08

i'll let ya know what i find. i will be replacing the gears with 373 but if im hopin to find one already changed out. i was there today and got all the weather stripping off a 86gt. t-tops and all including felt for $19.00
