Default RE: Tranny cooler

Hi!
From my experience, the add on oil coolers (tranny coolers) do a good job. The biggest problem is the way they mount. Now, the most convenient way is to supply you a kit that includes little plastic 'ties' that go through the radiator. Those are NOT a good idea. The problems are two fold. First of all, the radiator was not made to take the excess weight. When you install the cooler that close to the rad, there is no room for air to deflect around the cooler. The BEST solution is to have a bracket type mount kit that lets you hang it in front of the rad, leaving clearance.

Hope this helps! Good luck!
