the 5.0's are easier and cheaper to work on, so if your lookin for easy quick results go w/ a 5.0
look at it this way, to change heads and cam in a 4.6, the motor has to come out of the car
the 5.0 motor doesnt, so its just a matter of preference, and by all means the 4.6 is a good motor
but you just have the know how and money to upgrade a 4.6

I feel bad for the dummy who pulls his engine to swap heads and cams in a 4.6.

You don't have to pull the motor to swap anything on the 4.6.

Which mags are those?

Maybe you misunderstood them loosening the motor mounts and jacking the engine up on each side to give them more clearance from the shock towers.

EDIT: I spelled it loosing...bwahah

4.6's accept boost far more efficiently than the 5.0. I say if you are going n/a, go the 5.0 route. If adding a power adder is in the car's future, I'd go the 4.6 route.

Well, quite a few people here have done Cam & Head swaps and sure as hell didn't have the pull the motor. I think you should look into that article again and make sure they didn't just loosen a motor mount and jack the engine up to give themselves more room between the head & shock tower.

the cams just lift right out, you dont pull them out, like a pushrod engine.
