no you don't have to pull the engin for heads and cams on a 4.6
i was a 5.0 person until i got my 00 and i have become quite fond of my 4.6l but honestly if i where to do it agian i would spend the extra money and go with a dohc 4.6. even if ist a 96-98 cobra its got a lot more potential than the gt.
