I`m in no position to buy another vehicle,but I kept thinking what would be my choice Vette or a Cobra. the stated years and models are pretty much in the same price range. What would be your choice if you were to pick one. I realize that the answers are going to be tendentional as I`m at mustang foum after all ,but I wonder what your choice would be.
As much as I love mustangs I think I would go with a vette. What are the pros and cons of those two ?

I was looking kinda at the same delima, but I was looking 96-02 cobra vs C4 to early C5 vette (high mile 97/98).. lower price range. I think the stang's make a better daily driver. There is just something about subjecting the fiberglass on a vette to every day driving thing, road nics, bird crap, door dings (which it doesnt dent.. just rips paint and of curse gouges the fiberglass.. uhhg). For you daily driver I would go with a cobra.. for your pull it out only on a sunny spring/summer day I would go with a vette. Power wise the cobra would be a little quicker stock but thats not a hard fix... Its mostly taste and purpose. Sometimes having a back seat is a necesity in every day life.. vettes dont hold up well to shopping trips.. lmao. You will find it much easier to just throw a paint job and either pull dents or fill them in 10 - 15 years rather then repalce splintering fiberglass if its a daily. Just my opinion.

That`s the kind of feedback I was looking for. I did not take the fiberglass deal into account. The bottom line is that cobra would be more practical for a daily driver and the vette is just hot

I would get the Cobra. They are faster than a stock C5 Vette and they are easier and cheaper to mod. I almost bought a C5 but the more I was inside it the more I was not impressed. Both are great cars, good luck!

i would go with the cobra. i have never been in an 03/04 cobra but im positive that they are faster than a c5 vette. we have a 98 vette that hardly ever gets driven. they are powerful cars and all but i like the looks of my mustang much better than that. and the vette rides like s**t because you are sitting less than 6" off the ground. and if it is gonna be driven alot then def go with the cobra, vettes are nice for something to go out with on a nice weekend day, but other than that i wouldnt have one. if i had to chose right now over my stock 94 gt and our vette, i would still chose my car without thinking twice.

03/04 Cobra def. I am not saying anything about people w/ vettes that I dont know but of all the guys that I know, I only liked one of them. Every other one was too good for anyone else as far as cars, and everything else. I wouldnt want to be associated w/ that by driving a vette. Hot cars but not the type of person I would like to really know. No offense to anyone who has one(HOT car) but as I said, I never have met you.
