I guess my idea of a good paint job must be quite different than some of you people. Maybe it's because I have actuall experiance painting cars, I dunno.
Ohh yeah. It makes a huge difference if you have done something yourself multiple times vs having someone else do it. I cant paint a damn model car without runs and drips.. so yeah, im easy to please on paint jobs.

have fun making your car look like crap with a 400.00 paint job.
Ive seen many foxbodies around here and they are all flat black or flat dark blue. Why are all of them flat and not glossy? Is that because of the age?

it looked almost factory with the clear though. i had that paint on the tib for about 8 months and through the winter salt and such, still looked good after all that. guess ill never know how it holds up, for the stang im considering a pro cause i need them to fix my quarter and paint/install the saleen kit. ive already put enough $$$ into it so half assing it now would be stupid.

they tend to look good for a year or two but then go down hill quick. JD really knows what he is talkinb about. I am glad you are gonna go with a pro on the stang.

Maybe you could have a dealership do it. My neighbor got his supra painted by lexus and it looks amazing.

It's real popular these days with the tuner crowd (late teens - mid-20's).

those 400-750 paint job are just base coat clear coat..last 1-2 years....now a nice house of colors paint with some prime sealer/buld up will last years and will be in the 1600 plus range....and years down the road when you sell it the paint will help make your sale fast and easy
