Fox body handling?
Im building up my Thunderbird to handle. I have most of the things i want to do plotted out, but there are still small details that im unsure about, so ill give the rundown of what i want to do with the front suspension, and then ill ask the questions:
-mustang k-member, all seems welded up and reniforced
-mustang control arms, poly bushings
-fox body spindles for 11" brakes
-1 5/16" swaybar with poly bushings
-15:1 power steering rack and pump
-MM aluminum rack bushings
-MM Camber caster plates
-strut tower brace of some sort (need to shop around for my ideal)
-MM 4-point k-member brace
-H&R super race springs, 850-1050lbs up front
-tokico blue shocks and struts
now my main question with all of this is, would it really be worth buying the steeda X2 balljoints, and a bump steer eliminator kit? There are a few guys who do road race and auto-x tbirds, and they dont use these parts, but since im building it my way, id like to do everything in a kickass manner the first time around
would there be any benefit to using these balljoints and bumpsteer eliminators, or would i just be looking at spending money for no real reason?

would you like to convert to 5 lug by any chance? then you could just go sn95 instead of fox and get better brakes and suspension geometry.
bumpsteer is the change in toe throughout the arc of the suspension. bumsteer kits help reduce this, giving you better grip and tire life. x2 ball joints do similar things. I think it is worth doing.

Im going to eventually be converting to 5-lug using SN95 parts. Finding spindles and hubs locally for a decent price is difficult, so im going to stick some Lincoln rotors up front, and use SN95 axles and modified ranger drums in the rear. I have some 16" waffle star wheels to throw on the car, so that will hold me over untill i can find the spindles and hubs cheap, and all the rear disk brake parts. The fronts will eventually go Cobra's, so id like to swap all that at once.
you have any experience with the bumpsteer kit?
