Default Are these gears and t-lock in good shape?

I gonna get these motive 4.10's, FRPP t-lock, and bearing kit for $300...but it has been noticed that the t-lock seems to have rust...what do you guys think? They are supposed to be brand new, never used.

Default RE: Are these gears and t-lock in good shape?

The rust I see looks like simple surface rust.It also appears to be only on the surfaces that people would use to pick up and move the part.
Look for wear marks on the gears inside the carrier,if they look new they probably are.
