Default 255lph fuel pump too much?

i put a walbro 255lph fuel pump in my car about 5 months ago... i ran out of gas a few times and now the pump wont get any gas out of the line... ... i know this cuz i disconnected the line right off the filter....

my car has about 350 horse.... is it possible for the pump to be too strong to the point where it kills itself?

although i still hear the pump hissing when i turn the ignition on

i'm using the same one....trick with high out put pumps is to keep atleast a 1/4 tank there at all times.
gas as you know is what keeps the pump motor cool...i burnt up my 190plh that way.
take an air hose to the lines might of sucked some crud?
