i have $3200 saved up, and my dad is giving me $1000 so i am on a pretty tight budget for modifications and stuff. atleast i have a steady job, paying $6 an hour...not bad fo a 15 year old

16 and a V8? You will get raped on insurance. I had a 98 V6 as my first mustang. Lots of torque moved that car but once you got to 60 it fell on its face. If your parents are paying for you insurance, get the V8. SN95. Its more modern and looks better IMO.

well i got a deal going with my dad.. they have a car for me to drive ('93 camry) which i can drive for free, or i can buy my own car, which i have been saving and planning for for years. the insurance on the camry is $590 every 6 months, and the stang is gonna be like $850. so i just have to pay the difference in between the two prices. which comes out to about $45 a month..

I say 94-95 SN95. That way you get the 5.0 motor, and a car with alot of exterior mod potential.(and I think the sn95 looks better)

Keep your powder dry, keep looking and you will find a Fox body which is the car to have.
It took me 8+ months to find the one like I wanted and I live in a 'rust-free' part of the country!
I really think the Fox body will be the next big deal as a collector car on account people don't seem to be getting any more now for the first generation 'Stangs(64-66) than they were 2-3 years ago.
Also, from a performance point of view, the Foxes are lighter than the SN-95's by a bunch.
Also, the aftermarket is full of stuff for the Fox, plenty there for SN-95 but not as much and it's more expensive.......

actually suprisingly enough, the fox body 5.0s are cheap to insure. the insurance on a 5.0 is actually slightly less than the 2.3L!![&:]

go with the one you prefer, they're both great cars, major difference is the look and aftermarket availability/price... personaly i don't care much for the sn95's looks, so i chose the fox.

Me to. I love both cars but the seats in the 85 are more comfortable.
