i just got a 95 mustang lx tonight 4cyl 5 speed and when i go to drive it it will get about 20-30 feet and the back wheels will lock up. they might even be trying to spin backwards while in gear. its hard to tell. it does this in all gears. goes in gear fine. someone please help me

 

Your E-brake cable sticking??? When did the 95`s have a 4cyl???

 

well i havent got title yet the motor looks the same as in my other mustang guy said 4 cyl but it has 8 plugs?? and i do not think the it is stickin b/c it will take off fine. normal car just when it gets a few feet it locks up really bad and the driver wheel will start to turn backwards if in first and if in reverse the back will lock all together. the cable is not too tight it acts normal to me.

 

Hmmmm. Sounds like a problem in the rear end then.[&:] Contact the guy that sold you the car and find out [sm=WTFsgign.gif] the deal is with the problem your havin. Im sure he knows.

 

its a 91-93 2.3L with the dual plug head

its either your rear brakes, or your rear gears

does the car stall and die when this happens?

 

yes it tries to stall out after doing that and its a 93

yea that is his gears. something is wrong inside your rear end. hurry up and sell it back.

 

or go to the junkyard, and grab another 4 cylinder mustang rear. Grab one from an 87-93 automatic car, they had 3.73s in the rear
