blue, you should just take the front plate and bend it and wedge it underneath the front bumper so it hangs off the lower part of the bumper. i posted a pic of what im talkin about in another thread somewhere.

I checked with Ford, They said the car doesn't have a bracket. Bolt the plate strait to the bumper. I don't know that I will do that. I will probably buy a basic kit from the local parts place.

thanks for the input

The brackets that are available out there will not fit the curve of your mustang bumper, you will have to do some work so it could fit.. I fix my front braket with my trusty dremel, and i got it to contour it perfectly. The braket also helps( specially when you live in NY) when the non-skilled drivers back into your car trying to parallel park. Go to pepboys or autozone, and ask for a front mounting braket, and then just customize it.

I have an 03 GT, and it already had the holes in it. I just bought a piece of foam tape, and put it along the top on the back of the plate, and since I only bolt it with the top 2 holes on the plate, the top is the only part that rubs. I checked it just now, and it has been 6 months since I got the car and there are no scratches...
