Default MAF sensor

hey...i have a 2000 v6 mustang and i am buying a 70mm throttle body and a throttle body spacer. I already have a bbk cold air intake and i am just wondering if i need to install a bigger MAF sensor after installing the bigger throttlebody and spacer. Thanks.

P.S. - will the 70 mm throttle body fit onto the stock intake manifold?

No you do not need a new MAF. And yes the TB will fit.

You will gain 0 hp with a bigger MAF with the limited mods you have, infact you won't need one until after you do some serious mods like cam and heads, full exhaust, ect. BTW the 70 mm TB will not give you any power either at this point in your modding. TB/Maf upgrades are some of the last things you should be doing. Even on a GT the stock units are good for a long time before needing to be replaced. People just do these mods because they are easy but they really don't give you much, if any, hp on an otherwise stock engine.

MAF not needed. BUT!!! And this is VERY important. If you go with the bigger T/B, you will NEED to port the intake to 70mm as well. If you don't, you will actually LOSE some HP.

sorry, i forgot to list all the mods on my car.

mods are as follows:

bbk headers, pypes x-pipe, flowmaster american thunder exhaust, bbk cold air intake, diablosport predator tune, and 3:73 gears. I will soon be adding better underdrive pulleys also.

Maybe a bit more, I am not really up on how well the V6 cars respond to those mods. I do know that stock cars don't gain hardly anything from a TB/MAF swap, but it stands to reason that the more mods you have the more you wold gain. I don't think you will see more than a couple hp from those mods, untill you really up the airflow with ported heads and a cam swap. If I am wrong one of the more knowlagable V6 guys will chime in I am sure.

thanks for the reply...i think i will buy the underdrive pulleys for now and look into the throttle body, throttle body spacer and MAF some more. Im having trouble finding performance heads and camshafts for my 2000 v6 so if anybody knows of any sites that sell these please post them. thanks!
