I just installed a MGW short shifter for 04 cobra and it's definetly better than the stock shifter. I was wondering if a short shifter takes a while to break in because my new short shifter feels a tad bit rough and i wanted to know if that will go away once it breaks in.

 

It may free up very,very little, so expect 98% of the feel you have now.

The MGW, Pro 5.0 and Steeda are well known for being very notchy.

The T-56 is a very smooth transmission it's a shame that these shifters make it feel so un-refined.

I would have went with a B&M, it felt smooth even on my T-3650.
