gas overflow

when i fill up my gas tank, right when it gets to half a tank it shoots out the gas hole. any idea on whats going on? maybe a kickback valve is broken? what is the part name that needs to be replaced?

does it come out of the hole that u put the nozzle in (which is really weird) or out of the tank itself

how do you know its half full? r u looking at the gas gauge or the gallons on the pump? check the pump to see how much you put in cause the gauge might be off
