Default swap compatibility

i have a 98 gt that was totalled beyond repair, the whole drivetrain/engine/harness and everything is fine with only 70k original miles, the car runs and drives, just the chasis is un-usable.

my question is will my motor bolt into a fox style mustang, or anything from 84-92. what wouldn't fit? can i use my whole tranny, drive shaft, rear? do i need an aftermarket mount kit?

ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! Id hate to see all these parts go to waste. I would find another 96-98 style but I love the older mustangs.

the engine itself will fit with a lot of modification. the 5.0 i believe is bigger, and plus ive seen an sn95 6cyl dropped in a fox stang and have plenty of room left over. as for changing the drivetrain and all that, i dont know if you'd have to or not, sorry.

Default RE: swap compatibility

ok first off a sn95 has the same basic engine bay as a fox every thing will swap right over you may need to also swap the k member too but if you swap all of that it will give you the 5 lug 4 wheel disk brakes.

speaking of brakes that may be one hang up im not sure but you may need to swap out master cyclinders and go with the hydoboost brakes i think that was done for clearance.
