Default Noob question...

Sup guys, i just got a 83 mustang..5speed t-5 tranny Lx v6 converted into a v8... the only other car i had was a v4 automatic saturn, this is a stupid question, but i cant seem to find where u add the tranny fluid =X theres not even a dip stick to see... The car is in mint condition ill throw some pics up later.... but i need help i want to learn everything about cars... im a noob... help me please.

Manual transmissions have no dipstick. There is a plug in the side of the trans where you check or add fluid, the fluid is gear oil...

Yes the fill and fluid level check is the plug on the side of the tranny. I don't mean to correct, but if memory serves me the T-5 takes ATF (Mercon). The tranny should have fluid up to the bottom of the fill plug hole.

haha i laughed a bit when i saw he put v4. althought that would be interesting to see if it would produce a different powerband compared to an inline, and it would make for more room in the engine bay
