Anyone ever hear a mustang with no cats and no mufflers? hows it sound preferably a 96-98 cobra

 

Its very loud. IMO, it sounds like s***. At least get a good set of mufflers on the car to get a decent tone.

 

ok, picture your car doing this, "AAAAAEEEEEEOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAOOEEOEOEOAOAOAOAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAA" and that's what it sounds like.

 

Yeah I already have a loud exhaust set up wasnt really planning on doing this just wanted to see if anyones ever heard it just in case and I have a friend that wants to do it to his 04 GT

 

It'll sound loud and loud and like crap.

When I did my exhaust i started it up with the headers and prochamber and it sounded awesome IMO. Yeah, it was loud as hell and I'd never want to drive it like that, but I think it sounded badass... However I dont have a 4.6, they'll obviously sound diff.

 

Straight pipes will...

1) Sound rice

2) Get you twelve tickets per second squared

3) Make less torque and horsepower than mufflers.

I started my car up with just the cats one day when i was taking off my exhaust.... yeah it was loud as ****, but it was way too loud (as in... you-couldn't-possibly-mistake-it-for-having-mufflers-on-it loud.... not i'm-a-girl-and-don't-like-my-exhaust-loud loud) even like that. Sounded like crap at idle too.

 

just put on a O/R H or X, and some slp LM1 or 2's. The 1's are pretty much as close to what you want as you can get, but it will sound better.

 

It will sound very bad
