yep... Very few vehicles will sound good or run good w/o mufflers/cats. Unless you have an all out drag car meant for running at max RPM all the time straight up exhaust is no good. Also, get ready for plenty of backfiring, especially when you let off the gas in gear.


a straight mid pipe is fine, but definitely a set of mufflers would be good. I switched cars with my dad today (his needs some work) and I heard him take off, i have a 97 GT 5 speed with flowmaster cat-back... it sounds pretty good inside but excellent outside! best way to know what your exhaust sounds like is have someone you trust drive it for you and let you hear it.
