Default Battery wires

Are there specific battery wires made for different cars? Or could I just get any battery wire I wish? And does the posative and negative battery wires have to be the same gauge?

Check your instant message. For your reply.

The only real difference is in the length. Most or all are the minimum of 4 gauge.Go to any local parts store to find what you need.

Yes you need to use the same gauge wiring on both sides. If for some reason the parts store doesnt have what you want long enough get some 4 gauge wiring and the correct end terminals and go from there.

I'm running a set of gold plated terminals. Doing that, one could just buy a length of cable and an eyelet and make their own. Have have a nice look too. I picked up the terminals from a local stereo shop. The terminals have screws at the holes. Just slide the wires in and tighten the set screws. Nice clean look.
