I have a engine code on a 97 V6 and it says purge valve? where is it and does this sound like a common problem ?

Does the car have a nitrous kit, or did it?

 

No i took it to Autozone because the check engine light was on ,they used a code reader and thats what it said ?

I have no clue what it is or where it is , its not listed in my hayes manual either, I think its something to do with the emissions?
