Default door locks

the driver side door on my 91 wont lock, i thought it may have just been the actuator but you cant push the lock down and also when you use the key it will turn to the side to unlock but it wont turn to the lock side. im thinking its the rods that attach to the latch but i dont know where to find them any ideas. sorry if this is on the wrong forum.

Its most likely the actuator. It is probably stuck. I have/had the same problem - its a pain to replace, you might want to pay a locksmith to take care of it. How long have you had the car and had it been sitting for a while?

its a 91 and it has been sitting for about a year, i guess it may be jammed the guy i just bought it from lived on a gravel road so maybe the dust had something to do with it. but he said that before he could still lock it with the key or by pushing it down but it was just the powerlocks that were bad but now the whole lock jams. thanks for the idea

I've gotta tell you I have the EXACT same situation, except mine is a '90. It was sitting for a year and the girl I bought it from said the same thing your seller said. Its the actuator. You can pick one up on eBay for $10. Installing it is a project... one you might want to outsource (should cost $50 or so at your local key shop).
