Default SubFrame Connectors & TSB's

Hi, New Member although I have read many of the post over the last year. A couple of questions, First I have a pair of subframe connectors that need to be welded on and have not been able to find anyone qualified to do it in my area. Winter Haven, Florida. The qualified ones would not because of liability Ins. I am about an hour away from both Tampa and Orlando. Just North of Sebring. My Toy is a 02 GT with several addons which I will post later. I want to make sure the SubFame Connectors are installed correctly. One other quick question about TSB's. I have some grinding going into second gear and even third when my car is cold. Gets better after a few miles. T-3650 five speed. I noticed a few TSB's on the subject and wondered what the process was as my car is out of warranty. Any help much app. I go by the mowmann. My name is Steve. Thanks in Advance.

Default RE: SubFrame Connectors & TSB's

hey mowmann welcome to mf

where/who did you ask to weld on your subframe connectors? any performance shop and/or a place that welds should do it. i know of someone who got a guy at meineke to do it for cash...so it should be to tough. im from pa so that's about as much as i can do for you there. sounds like your synchros are going in your tranny. good new...they're cheap. bad news....you still have to tear apart the tranny so labor is expensive. try putting gm synchromesh gear oil in....its is expensive but imo the best and it should help
