i have a 06 v6 with dual magnaflows (sig says flowmasters but its wrong). i have some appearance stuff on the way but i wanna know what i can do performance and sound wise. keep in mind that it has to be cali legal. thanks guys.

 

Gears will make a big difference.

 

what ratio? and how much $?

 

I would go with at least 4.10`s. Under $200 for just the gears. Its the best/most noticable mod.

 

is it ok for automatics? i have AT. and how does it go with gear ratios, higher = better?

 

You generally want to use 3.73 on Manuals and 4.10 on automatics. The higher the gear ratio, the 'faster' you will start off shifting, however you can lose some top end speed with higher gear ratios. hope that helps.

Yeah, I know guys with auto`s w/4.10`s and they like them. They all have tuners to correct their speedo and adjust shiftpoints.
