Default Ignition Question

When my 03 GT has been sitting for a while, it starts up fine. But after the engine runs, then I turn it off to go into a restaurant, grocery store, etc. and it only sits for maybe up to a half hour at most, i have to hold the key in the ignition spot for a lot longer than normal, takes a few extra seconds to start. Any ideas on what this might be? Is it a starter problem? spark plugs?

Thanks in advance.

So you're saying it cranks longer than normal to start up but when it's warm?

Right after start up, how does it run.? Rough, any black smoke out the t-pipe, or just normal?

Haven't really paid any attention to either. I would say it doesn't ride rough...or I think I would have noticed it. Don't know about the smoke out of the exhaust since I am in the car....

Not real familiar w/ the 03's. Could be somethin' with the crank sensor after it's warm. Does it always do it or is it intermittent?

I would say not always, but probably 80-90 percent of the time

I have that problem on occasion too... well, rarely, actually... but it happens. There's been a couple threads about it in the past and no one knows why. Unless it refuses to start (or takes a very long time, 5+ seconds), it shouldn't be a problem.
