Default First Time Doing Body Work....

Yes, its my FIRST time doing body work and I dont have a clue what I' am doing I'm in the process of sanding down my doors and doing some bondo work. I know that there are a lot of little tips and tricks. Anyone willing to share Also, its not a throw together project so I need all the info I can take in. Also, whats the best body filler to use? Is there a difference? I will basically spend any amount of $ to get the best. Thanks alot guys!

i think jd1969 will be able to help you alot but one thing you need ot do if you want the best possible resluts is to finde somthing to practice on. once you get the hang of it then go to work on your car. labor is much more important in body work than matirials. it takes a lot of practic to get the hang of it.

Use bondo. If you mess up, just sand it down and start over.Body work is kind of hard to tell someone how to do. So its like you make some good progress, and then other times you mess up. Post some pictures of the dents and stuff you are going to use body filler on. Also one tip that i have, is to put sum bondo on, sand it down, then run it from a different direction. this makes it stronger. I just finished some major bondo and sanding work on my gt. if you have specific questions, feel free to ask.
Do you plan on painting the car urself?

I will not be painting the car myself. The thing is, the body needs to be "show quality" but I really want the experience and Im already spending a couple G's on just having the car painted and buying paint ("Olive Green" from the 2006 Porsche Carerra S) so it needs to be GOOD.
