Default tire sizes

I was looking on tirerack at winter tire and rim packages. Now for the 01 GT, there are 2 sizes the 16 in and the 17 in. Would it be OK for me to order the 16 in even though I have 17 in now?

To be honest, I am on a tight budget right now. However, it was out of curiousity mainly, since winter is almost over anyway this will not really matter much (I can get these for next year).

for snow tires run some 225/55r16s off a V-6, they have almost the same sidewall height so you wouldnt have to adjust your speedo and remember, for snow you want a narrow taller tire.
