AOD shift kit
There is a down side on the Transgo kit, it will allow you to shift WOT into overdrive. This, according to Ford, will all but totally burn out your OD gear in short order. Overdrive gears (4th in auto, 5th in standard) are cruising gears and the bands can not take the stress of high torque and power on any ongoing basis. If I am not mistaken, most new generation power tuning electronic devices will allow you to custom set your shift points and crispness of the shift as well. Otherwise, check out these guys. They have a great reputation for quality products:

Transgo is known to let your tranny shift into overdrive at full throttle. The bands in OD gears are not meant to withstand that kind of stress and will eventually burn out. Call Baumann Engineering and see what they have to say. The website is listed above. Besides, OD (4th auto, 5th stick) is only a cruising gear. Flat out in 3rd (auto) or 4th (stick) you'll be going as fast as you need to, believe me. You would never get into OD in a 1/4 mile anyway unless you had 4.30+ gears. Baumann can give you a whole lot of history background on the AOD tranny no matter what version you may have. Their kits allow you much more flexibility at installation for various custom set-ups depending upon how you plan on using your car.
thats what i was gonna ask, because i hear alot of people using the transgo kits and i have never heard them saying they had any problems burning out the overdrive. i thought it was suppose to be one of the best kits on the market.
