Default Dust Shield Question

Alright...I have a 95 Mustang GT and I was changing the brake rotor. The rotor was very difficult to break loose...like always...and for some Damn reason the dust shield fell off leaving the plastic retainers. Where do i find the plastic retainers? Any suggestions on removing the retainers? Do I really need the shield if I am using a pad like hawk and slotted and drilled rotors that cut down on the amount of brake dust? Keep in mind, this is mostly a show car. Any opinions are appreciated.
Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about them...take them off. Our 89' has Baer 13" front brake kit....took them off for that. Our 96' conv. Cobra 13" brake kit...took them off too!!

They are more of a splash shield ,than for dust. They help keep water, etc. off of the rotors.

they also help keep gravel out....a peice of gravel between a caliper and a rotor can be expensive

So do you think I should keep them? How do I get the mounting hardware to remount it.

Sounds good...except they're always more expensive.
Thanks.
