Default are 1999 mustangs reliable???

Hi everyone i'm new and I am thinking about purchasing a 1999-2000 mustang v6. The car will have 100k miles. Should I buy it or not? will it least me a few years? what do I need to look out for when buying a used mustang? are their common issues or problems that i need to know? are mustangs reliable? Is the stereotype that american cars are less reliable then japanese cars true? thanks in advanced.

yes they are pretty reliable and even if anything goes wrong with it the aftermarket world is there for you it is huge and priced right. if it is 100k vehicle it is always a risk ,but honestly it is better to get a mustang than an import because it is less expensive to own and maintain.

its not that jap cars do better on miles its that inline 4 ( 4 bangers) do better in general by there desgin. Nissan and Honda offer 4 bangers that run well into the 180,000 mile range IF taken proper care of. Every car company has flag ship cars and a crappy cars.
