Default HELP Starting Mods

Ok, so I finally paid off my 94 GT convertible & new I am ready to start doin some mods. I'm looking for things that aren't gonna completely kill my gas mileage because it is still my everyday driver, but I want to be competitive. Where are some places that I should start since I am pretty new at this. The only thing that is not stock is the MAC catback exhaust & off-road H pipes. Thanks in advance for any input.

Congrats on your new car!

I would say get exhaust done 1st but since you already have it....

look into gears or intake

for the gears you can look at prices online and ask local people their install price. There are some good sticky threads that will tell you all you need to know about gears.

For intake you could consider getting a bigger throttle body and plenum or getting a bigger MAF ( mass air flow) If it was me i would save up and get all 3 parts at the same time.
Gears wont add any power but they will make your car get from zero to top speed faster. Intake will add any where from 5 - 15 hp depending on what you get.

I had a BBK fenderwell cold air at one point on it. In your opinion is it worth getting another BBK & is the fenderwell the best design to go with?

I think the best intake to get is the procharger. it goes into that hole in the engine bay.

maybe he means densecharger. and since you already have your exhaust done...you can probably get some not so bad gains from doing your intake. gears are also good...known as the best bang for the buck...and wont kill your gas mileage all that much in reality...maybe 1 or 2 mpg.

you could do some suspension work too...but that wont help performance really unless you get control arms too...which is a good idea. youll probably be happy with whatever you do.
