i'm ordering ford racing 4.10 gears this weekend (wanted 4.30's but for racing doesn't make them so f it). What else should i buy with it. The stang has 45K miles. Do i need a shim kit or any of that. Also where is the cheapest/ best place to buy these gears.

 

with 45k i would go ahead and get the whole rebuild kit, and if you got the $$$ get a tuner while you're at it

i just got my FRPP 410s for Jegs, thought their price was decent, also got the master bearing kit for like 100 as well, might as well change out stuff while they are in there. I have about 41K on mine. Now if i can jsut get the performance shop to call me back, it is like pulling teeth or begging these people to work on my car [:@] they are going to check a/f cause my idle bounces around since the cai.
