Default Question about 302’s

Not quite sure what I want to do now. Here's a couple questions could some of you clear up for me?

1. Is a 351 worth having over a 302 if all you want is 450-600hp?

2. Can a 302 hit 600hp N/A? Don't want a stroker kit or anything. Or boring over 30. I want it to be a stable daily driver.

3. Is the weight differance a big factor? If so by how much?

4. Would the 351 last longer because less strain on engine for the amount of hp?

5. Should I go for a 351 or a 302? My goal is a 450-600hp street car thats naturally aspirated and daily driven of course.

6. This shouldn't count as a #6 but I thought I'd throw it in anyways, Will I have to reinforce my frame or something? I hear someone said that much power would bend and twist my frame...

1. its easier to make more horse with more cubes.

2. yes a 302 can hit 600 N/a horse....but you are not going to drive to the store for a pack of butts.

3. a 351 with aluminium heads weighs the sam as a 302 with iron heads.

4.not nessasarily

5.450 horse can be made with a 302 and be somewhat drivable everyday.but if you want much more go with a 351,but you have to understand that putting a 351 in your car over a 302 will cost you more(headers, intake, accsesories)

6. when driving any type of foxbody hard it will eventualy twist,i would at the very least put in subframe connectors.

If you have acess to both obviously go with the 351 they except the same mods and even parts interchange.

The 351 will bolt up where the 302 was with no mods at all.

Subframes are a must on the foxes.Even with a 302.
