so the bearing totally f'd up, now the car makes the weirdest noise whenever i release the clutch pedal.

I wanted to buy the king cobra clutch kit but 1) where do they sell them? (not at the steeda nor the frpp sites.) 2) do i have to buy a 10.5" flywheel or is that just for the 03/04 cobras. I have a 97 cobra.

I was also looking at the spec stage 1 clutch or a centerforce. They are easier to find and seem as if they are direct bolt-on.

what do you guys recomend, a fast response will very much be really and greatly appreciated a lot.

also, i've read on other forums that this clutch is very stiff, i really wouldn't like that. I just want something that will grip good and wont be such a hazle to install.

Spec stage 1 seems like the best option for me since i'll be stalling it my self.

sup man i just finished instlalling a king cobra clutch kit on my 96gt vert on thursday. boy is it nice. its definitely not stiff. it seems just like my dads stock clutch in his 03. its supposed to have 40% more grabbing force. you'll need to get the alignment tool from a parts place cause ford doesnt include one. i bought my kit off jegs and the tool at carquest. dont use ARP bolts for the pressure plate.

those bolts ruined my stock flywheel that i just paid to get resurfaced so i had to shell out more money to buy a new one. i would also suggest putting in a new clutch fork. it shifts so much smoother now. and a new pilot bearing is a must.

 

Thanks alot for the info man. The throw out bearing, is it good? because that what started my problem in the first place.

I'm planning on rebuilding my tranny so that will be replaced anyway. Just lookin for prices on the parts
