Default Tailight tint law

I am looking to tint my tailights and turn signals as well as my rear bumper markers. Is it illegal to do so in Ga? If not, does anyone on here have any issues with cops pulling them over for them anyway? I don't want to go so dark that you can't see them being used but I do want them a bit darker for appearance purposes of course.

I wouldn't worry about it, police usually won't pull you over for it unless you are caught doing something else then they may ticket you for it. But I know of quite a few people that have never had any problems including myself, but I am not sure about the law itself.

As long as you can
1) see the lights out of them
2) When light shines on them, its reflected back outward

You should be ok. The true law is most likely you cant alter it in any way, just a guess haha.

I think tinting tail lights is illegal everywhere, but I have had tinted tails for over a year now with no trouble, but mine aren't really dark.

Also should add that the car isn't an import. In my area they always get their ***** broken when they are modded.

Wow. Now everyone seems to want to say something. Lol. Well I knew a lot of people did it but I didn't want to do it and get pulled over for it. Plus I'm wanting to paint them, including the turn signals and markers so I didn't want to do it and have to replace them. I'm somewhat considering not doing it now. Just to be safe. Even though I really want to.
