Got my 4:10s in !!
I installed a set of 4:10 in place of the 3:55s today. Awesome! The acceleration is much quicker, but I can still cruise at 80 and only gained about 300 rpm's - 2500 to 2800. I originally thought I would go with the 3:73 set, but figured I might as well move to 4:10. Glad I did!

So how hard are they to install? Did you get the ones like brenspeed.com sells? Did you also install the "bearing kit" too?

glad to see you went with 4.10s, on the 05-06 with an OD ratio of .62 you could probably get away with 4.30s too, which is what i would recomend if it is not ur DD.

I did install them myself, but I have an extensive automotive repair background. Definately would not recommend to do it yourself unless you ha the know how. The ford book time is 6 hours, did it in 5, but got lucky withe the pre-load and backlash shimming goning really smooth. I only replaced the pinion bearing, crush sleeve and seal. As far as 1/4 mile time, waiting for th tracks here in Tn to reopen. Closed for the winter but heading there soon.

I was looking around. OD for the manual transmission is 0.68 and 0.75 for the automatic.
I can now see why manual 5spds can get a way with 4.10's! Much taller OD gear than the automatics.

Scroll down to see the specs for the V6 and GT models.
Thx,
Mike

Hey Musiccity your ride is staight, like the mods. The only tracks around here(Nashville) is Union Hill(1/8 mile), the one in Bowling Green(1/4 mile), and I think theres one in Huntsville Alabama(1/8 mile).
