yep, according to all the speed and gear calculators out there...with stock gears and tach at 6K, you could be at 225. With 3.73s, you're looking at 198. We know that's impossible. Damn that wind drag. Maybe if I put an a few extra coats of wax on the car, I'll reduce the friction coefficient enough to get close...or maybe not.

Seriously though, the car did felt like it was floating after 140. It's lowered 1.5 inches and has the MACH 1 chin spoiler on it now. Maybe with the reduced airflow under the car, it wouldn't be as bad now. It's not something I do all the time. It was just one of those "let's see what happens" kind of things.

I got 131 mph a couple times, but i let off cause thats just stupid, plus the cops here are really bad. She had lots more in her, cause when i hit the gas again she still had pull, love that feeling!!!

 

Got mine up to 130 with what felt like alot more under the hood. Don't remember if I ran out of road or if the hood shake scared me off first.

The top speed of the vortech mustang was 192 mph. at 6600 rpm in fifth gear (five speed manual). I think that was with stock gearing, but It did have 20 inch wheels. That ad was in "mustang and fast fords" magazine. (There is a jet fighter in the back ground)

 

145 if fourth gear! I dont know how fast I was going in fifth...last time I posted the rpm I was pushing in fifth, I got slammed by a bunch of you guys. But, I figure these thing are capable of around 160 with a few mods.

 

120ish, low I know but the car isn't fully broken in yet either. I ran on the track in sebring florida in my buddies dad's 2004 Porshe GT2 and hit 189mph on the back straight talk about a rush!!!

 

I ran mine on the interstate at 150-157mph. I had my cuz ride in his car beside me in his GTO and he ran about the same. He ran up to 157mph and we were next to each other pretty much. My car is completly stock.
